The article presents a semiotic analysis of diaspora narratives in the media space of Kazakhstan. The research is conducted at the interdisciplinary intersection, taking into account ethnological and philological approaches. The work is based on medialogical (Marshall McLuhan) and narratological concepts (Wolf Schmidt, Igor Silantyev), addressing the historical and cultural context of a narrative text and the methodology of its analysis of previously unexplored material in the research field. The main method employed in the presented article for analyzing diaspora narratives is media criticism. The article demonstrates that the transfer of basic narratives in Kazakhstani media is defined as both universal cultural traditions and local tendencies of this post-Soviet space. The article presents an analysis of narratives constructed both from external sources (the government) within the framework of an information order, and those proposed by the diaspora itself. Among the latter, historical, cultural, ethnographic, and personalized narratives are identified, creating a representation of real or imagined diaspora unity.
