The aim of the study was to investigate the potential of digital design for the development of art recognition skills in primary school students. To achieve this goal, methods of analysis were applied, which included a comparative study of global and national educational platforms, an assessment of their potential for building literary skills, and a content analysis of instructional texts. The methodological approach was based on the integration of data on the effectiveness of digital technologies, the use of multimedia and visualisation in educational practice. The study revealed that educational platforms such as Canva, Popplet, Padlet and Book Creator play a key role in the development of creative thinking, analytical and visualisation skills in primary school students. The Kazakh platforms BilimLand, Opiq. kz, Daryn. online and iMektep have demonstrated their effectiveness by adapting to the national context and integrating interactive tasks that facilitate the analysis of literary texts. Digital design incorporating multimedia elements, gamification and interactive presentations was found to significantly increase student engagement and improve their understanding of complex literary devices such as metaphors, hyperbole and epithets. The study also showed that digital competencies are an integral part of the educational process, fostering students’ critical thinking, independence, and digital tool skills. These competences proved to be an important factor in preparing students for further learning in a digital society. The results of the study emphasise the importance of integrating digital design into primary education in order to develop key analytical and literary skills in schoolchildren.
