Dairy and beef cattle breeding in the Republic of Kazakhstan is a main branch in the system of the agro-industrial complex, providing the population with meat, milk, and processed products. At the modern stage of livestock management, the intensity of cattle breeding development depends on the efficiency of using the semen of highly valuable bulls using biotechnology methods and artificial insemination of breeding stock. Preservation of the achieved results in breeding, increased breeding stock of cattle with improved genetic potentials, depends on the purposeful use of genetically evaluated stud bulls of beef and dairy cattle, which persistently transmit hereditary traits. For this purpose, it is required to breed highly valuable sperm donor bulls, to procure and create a bank of cryopreserved sperm doses from morphologically evaluated native and frozen semen. Purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the homogenate of drone larvae as a biologically active feed additive on semen productivity of stud bulls of dairy and beef cattle in Kazakhstan. The article aimed to present in the open press the results of the research on determining the influence of drone larvae homogenate as a stimulant in improving sperm productivity and semen quality of sperm donor bulls. It was found that the average daily volume of sperm ejaculate in bulls receiving drone homogenate increased by 25.2%, the concentration of spermatozoa by 13.6%, and the number of frozen sperm doses by 60.8%. The obtained data were confirmed by the results of morphological studies. It was found that the photometric and kinematic ability of fresh semen total mobility of fresh semen in bulls increased by 80.4% and progressive mobility by 92.8%. The number of live cells in fresh semen of bulls receiving drone homogenate increased by 26.1%, the number of live morphologically normal cells in fresh and frozen semen increased by 43% and 92.49%, respectively. Drone homogenate is an active stimulant in increasing the volume of sperm productivity and improving sperm quality, spermatozoa activity, obtaining high-quality native and frozen sperm of stud bulls, and in creating a bank of cryopreserved sperm doses.
