This article presents a continuous study of coins found along the trade route from the Volga River through medieval Saraichuk to Khwarazm, analyzing commodity-money relations in Western Kazakhstan during the Golden Horde period. The research introduces 101 coins from sites including Ashchysai (45), Karagaily (16), Ushkan (6), Kush (23), Koskuduk (7), and takes into account 3 finds from the Beldeuli caravanserai. Fifteenth-century coin finds at Sagiz, Kush, and Kuskuduk highlight ongoing economic activity and systemic coin loss on this route. The authors demonstrate that combining data from multiple small archaeological sites enables estimation of the chronological distribution of coins along this part of the Silk Road. © Stratum plus.
