Domestic violence remains a widely prevalent issue worldwide. International organizations recognize the necessity of improving the legislative framework to prevent domestic violence and protect victims. However, the application of only legislative measures will not change the situation in countries where domestic violence against women is common, based on the patriarchal understanding of women’s role in society. This article explores the possibility of applying measures to combat domestic violence at the current stage of Kazakhstans development. Special attention is given to evaluating the effectiveness of these measures. The purpose of the article is to assess the possibility of using legislative, organizational, educational, informational, and technological measures to combat domestic violence from the perspective of their applicability in Kazakhstan. This study proposes measures to improve the legal system, including legislative and socio-organizational measures, to prevent domestic violence and support victims.
