Among the many problems of the history of the Second World War, the daily life of Soviet citizens, including the millions that worked in its industry, has recently attracted increased academic interest. Addressing production problems and the labor behavior of workers in the context of which the history of war is not only a history of military potential, but also of economic potential and resources. Soviet workers accomplished an essential labor feat which made it possible to supply the Red Army with everything necessary, despite severe hardships and hunger. However, along with the consideration of mass manifestations of labor enthusiasm, it is important to also analyze other practices of adaptation to the extreme conditions of war, including those expressed in the so-called adaptive strategies of Soviet workers. It should be noted that with all the thematic diversity of research on the socio-economic history of wartime in the majority of post-Soviet states, in the reconstruction of the labor behavior of the population it is still difficult to move away from previous stereotypes and models of thinking associated exclusively with the glorification of the labor behavior of the Soviet people. In this regard, there is a need to study all aspects of the labor activity and adaptation practices of enterprise employees, which can lead to the expansion of the research field.
