This article explores the complex landscape of decision-making in the foreign policy of Uzbekistan. By analyzing the prominent actors and underlying factors, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how foreign policy choices are formulated and implemented in the context of Uzbekistan’s geopolitical position and historical background. The authors conduct an in-depth analysis of the actors and factors, constants and variables influencing foreign policy decision-making in the Republic of Uzbekistan, by using such methods as realism and liberalism, as well as comparative and content analysis, to shed light on the key factors influencing the formation of the country’s foreign policy decisions. The analysis encompasses regional engagement, economic diplomacy, security concerns, and international partnerships, shedding light on the dynamics shaping Uzbekistan’s role in the global arena.
