Due to the global trend towards the transition to minimally invasive methods of surgical treatment and, consequently, limited access to the surgical field, surgeons of various specialties have encountered the difficulty of suturing. Despite the invention of techniques for seamless connection of tissues, the skill of knitting surgical knots is one of the basic skills from the arsenal of techniques mastered by the surgeon at the first stages of his formation. The article presents an overview of the available scientific literature on extracorporeal knot tying techniques in endoscopic surgery. It is concluded that the use of these types of knots in rhinology is promising.
