A Case Study of Novel Technique for Reconstruction of the Eroded Long Process of the Incus in Revision Stapedectomy

Although otosclerosis surgery is considered an effective treatment option, there is an incidence of surgical failure that necessitates revision operations. Here, we report a case of revision otosclerosis surgery and propose a new technique for reconstruction of the eroded long process of the incus using a metal wire obtained from a Shepard grommet tympanostomy tube and ionomer bone cement.
