The history of the formation of the Karaganda Machine-Building Plant named after Parkhomenko is given. The line of products manufactured by LLP KMZ named after Parkhomenko is given. The goals of creating a branch at LLP KMZ named after Parkhomenko within the framework of cooperation with the Karaganda Technical University are indicated. The article analyzes the activities of the Department of Nanotechnology and Metallurgy of the Karaganda Technical University on the basis of the plant LLP KMZ im. Parkhomenko . LLP KMZ im. Parkhomenko is one of the oldest machine-building enterprises in Kazakhstan, specializing in the production of mining equipment. One of the main results of the interaction is to improve the quality of training graduates in the field of metallurgy and materials science. Along with the educational sphere, interaction affects research activities. Such interaction also allows the plant to compete with manufactured goods in the modern market.
