A novel method for information protection is proposed, designed for transmitting commands from an operator to a drone swarm. The approach is based on determining the location of a radio signal source using data exchange between unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within a group via fiber optic links. This method is intended for use within the direct radio line of sight. A key feature of the proposed approach is the application of phase portrait analysis to determine the instantaneous frequency and phase of the received signal. It is shown that this makes it possible to employ low-bandwidth communication channels (less than several tens of bits per second) between the operator and the swarm, eliminating the need for complex encryption methods. This enables the use of long-wavelength radio bands, which in turn allows for signal source localization by analyzing phase differences in signals received by UAVs within the group. The benefits of the proposed method are demonstrated, including through specific examples involving the design of relevant electronic circuits.
