The importance of a single information space is conditioned by the need to address important factors of interaction, both within the state administration apparatus, departments and local government, and the interaction of government bodies and citizens. The purpose of the study is to analyse the development of the institution of digitalisation and informatisation in the field of public administration, to identify the advantages and disadvantages of this system for the Republic of Kazakhstan on the experience of foreign states, and also to provide a legal assessment of the ongoing changes in the national legislative framework. The features of public administration and its digitalisation in the USA, South Korea, Singapore, Denmark were discovered. The modern system of public administration was analysed, and the processes of digitalisation and informatisation and their impact on the areas of personal data protection, industrial and foreign trade activities, tax, customs and social-labour spheres were described.
