This study aims to empirically examine the attitudes of university youth in the Turkic Republics toward the institutions of family and marriage. The research employs a quantitative method and survey technique, including 6,689 undergraduate students from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russian Federation). The findings indicate that, despite rapid societal transformation and ideological shifts, university students still perceive family and marriage as fundamental components of the social structure. In all countries except Uzbekistan, the majority of students oppose arranged marriages. It was also found that young people place significant importance on family approval when choosing a spouse. These findings suggest that family values continue to hold strong. It is recommended that courses on family and marriage be integrated into university curricula. Future research is encouraged to explore these attitudes in greater depth using qualitative methods, especially in relation to processes of socio-cultural change.
