Abstract—: The charge exchange reaction (3He, t) is studied using target odd nuclei of 45Sc and 197Au at 29‑MeV 3He beam energy. The angular distributions of the emission of deuterons and tritium in the 45Sc(3He, t)45Ti and 197Au(3He, t)197Hg reactions are studied. Experiments have shown that the maximum values of the cross sections for tritium emission reactions are achieved at angles close to the grazing angle. This indicates that the charge exchange reactions are of peripheral nature. The angular differential cross sections for the triton emission upon the population of the ground and excited states in 45Ti nuclei are accurately measured for the 45Sc(3He, t) 45Ti reaction.
