Today, in the wind energy, turbine wind power stations (WPS) gained predominant use. Although, due to a range of drawbacks specific of these WPS, lately WPS without rotating blades were offered. One of such WPS is sail wind power station (SWPS) with swinging working body that is considered in this paper. Specifics of this SWPS is that it has a modified toroidal sail with twisted in pitch section profile of its aerodynamic profile. To increase the efficiency and SWPS reliability in operation, the paper offers an automated control system consisting of 4 sub-systems: sail WPS parameters presetting, resonance prevention, electric power generation and working body motion control. Absence of self-oscillations during working body (WB) periodic motion is proven analytically and confirmed by an experiment with a working prototype. The experiments performed had allowed comparing the SWPS with regular and modified sails and confirmed advantaged of the latter.
