War has serious consequences for the environment and human health. As these impacts can be long-term and irreversible, it is important to understand how they affect ecosystems and how they can be mitigated or avoided in the future. The research serves as a basis for reconstruction planning in war-affected areas, including the restoration of ecosystems and natural resources. The practical component of the research is determined by its contribution to understanding the extent of environmental problems caused by the war and developing effective measures to address them.
