Motivated by Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole solutions of five-dimensional gauged extended supergravities, the shadow behavior of R-charged black holes is examined. This process gets analyzed in terms of four charge configurations, namely, three unequal charges, three equal charges, two equal charges, and one single charge. Results on shadow behavior show the influence of electric charge on the geometry of the black hole shadow. Clearly, as the charge parameter increases, so does the size of the black holes shadow. On the parameter space side, the size decreases as the parameter space extends along the case chain (1)→(2)→(3)→(4). We have also constrained the charge parameter for these cases using observational data from the M87* shadow. In regards to the energy emission rate, both the electric charge and the parameter space have an impact on the behavior of the energy emission rate. This process illustrates a scenario in which black hole evaporation is slower and has an extended lifetime. The use of shadow analysis provides an interpretation of the thermodynamic phase structure of the R-charged black hole. This task is carried out with three charge configurations on the parameter space Mqq1,q2,q3. The findings demonstrate a positive correlation between the shadow radius and the event horizon radius, permitting investigation of the phase transition as a function of the shadow radius.
