Disintegrator Activation of Cement and Sand to Obtain Foam Concrete of Specified Physical and Mechanical Properties

The article provides information about the cement activation in various grinding units such as a pipe ball mill and disintegrators. It is revealed that the cement activation in disintegrators allows selectively considering the grain composition of cement providing the highest content of the desired commodity fraction of particles with sizes from 10 to 40 microns. At that, the activity of the binder increases, which is explained by the acquisition of a crushed stone shape by cement particles. Activation of sand using disintegrator allows eliminating the diverse effect of clay impurities in the sand with a content of up to 7%. Modification of the foam concrete composition with mineral and chemical additives such as Lignopan B-2, Biotech-NM and Aquatron-8 allows producing foam concrete comparable in terms of strength with autoclave-hardened cellular concrete.
