This article provides a comprehensive review of echocardiographic methods for assessing right ventricular function in children after complete repair surgery of tetralogy of Fallot. Current echocardiographic methods for assessing the size and function of the right ventricle in children after complete repair of tetralogy of Fallot are described. The literature review, including data from scientific studies from the Scopus database, Web of Science, PubMed, devoted to echocardiographic assessment of the right ventricle in patients after complete repair of tetralogy of Fallot. Echocardiography plays a key role in identifying unfavorable hemodynamic changes in patients with operated tetralogy of Fallot, which allows timely admission for magnetic resonance imaging to clarify indications for surgical intervention. Identification of the correlation between right heart dilation and right ventricular systolic dysfunction, as well as the use of Z-score to normalize the size of the right chambers, are important tools for accurate diagnosis and prediction of the risk of right ventricular function deterioration, especially in children. Thus, further development of echocardiographic methods and their integration with other instrumental studies remain relevant areas in patient’s management with tetralogy of Fallot.
