The article introduces materials from kurgan No. 2 of the Bozai 1 burial ground into scientific circulation. During the study of the site, stratigraphic studies of the burial structure were carried out, as a result of which its main structural elements were identified, which to a certain extent preserved the archaic features of the Late Bronze Age. Aerial photo, orthophoto and topographic plans of the object have been completed. The results of radiocarbon AMS14C dating, as well as comparative analysis of the structural features of the structure and characteristics of the burial inventory of kurgan No. 2 of the Bozai 1 burial ground are dated by the authors within the 8th–7th centuries BC. The finds recorded in the kurgan as applications in the form of deer heads, various types of beads and decorative tubes with relief oblique lines have stylistic similarities with the materials of the Early Saka monuments of Tarbagatai, Central Kazakhstan, Altai and Tyva. To determine the paleodiet, the analysis of stable nitrogen and carbon isotopes obtained from anthropological material indicates the C4 food chain, including millet, and has always included a fairly large number of fish. An archaeozoological analysis of the bone remains of a bird of prey found in the burial pit of the kurgan was also conducted. The results of the comparative examination indicated its affiliation with the genus of birds of prey from the Accipitridae family – eagle, golden eagle.
