The article describes the vacuum system of the KTM tokamak, and also presents an algorithm for the technological mode of conditioning the vacuum chamber (VC) of the tokamak, carried out before and during the experiment, and its effect on the production of plasma discharges. The technique used for preparing the vacuum chamber, despite the presence of an atmospheric leak in 2021, made it possible to provide conditions for conducting experiments on the KTM tokamak and to obtain discharges with the highest values of currents and discharge duration for this installation at the time of writing. As a result of the analysis of experimental data, the conditions were established under which plasma discharges are not formed.
