Abstract: A switched magnetic current transformer is developed on the basis of the magnetic system of an RT-40 current relay for maximum current protection or current cutoff without the need for transformers with triggering currents of 120–480 A. The transformer’s parameters are simulated by means of ELCUT software; the error is no more than 10%.
