Selection of the optimal method of water resources measurement in Zhambyl province taking into account technical peculiarities

The article is devoted to the problem of effective water resources management in Zhambyl province of the Republic of Kazakhstan under conditions of water deficit and drought. Modern methods of water consumption metering, including ultrasonic and laser flowmeters, are considered. Based on comparative analysis the most optimal technology is chosen - Doppler flowmeter, which allows to carry out accurate measurements even in conditions of turbid water. Specific points of equipment installation are proposed for the Shu and Talas rivers, which will allow for objective monitoring of incoming water volumes and improve the efficiency of water allocation between the countries. This approach has the potential to improve the sustainability of the agricultural sector, natural ecosystems, and socio-economic development of the region.
