We present the complete set of measured inelastic angular distributions (ADs) for d+9Be system at a deuteron beam energy (Ed) of 14.5 MeV, corresponding to the (12+, Ex= 1.684 MeV) and (52+, Ex= 3.049 MeV) excited states of 9Be. These measured inelastic 9Be(d,d)9Be* ADs, along with the previously measured 9Be(d,d)9Be elastic ADs at Ed= 7–35 MeV, were analysed in various nuclear potentials. The inelastic AD data for the studied 9Be excited states were modelled within the coupled-channel (CC) framework and the corresponding deformation parameters were extracted. Additionally, we present the measured ADs for the 9Be(d,t)9Be neutron pickup transfer reaction at Ed= 14.5 MeV, populating the (0+, Ex= 0.0 MeV) and (2+, Ex= 3.04 MeV) states of 9Be. The 9Be(d,t)9Be transfer reaction was analysed using the method of distorted waves Born approximation (DWBA) and the optimal spectroscopic amplitudes (SAs) of the configurations 9Be→9Be + n and 9Be→9Be* +n were determined and cross-checked with the existing literature values.
