Synthesis of New Taurine Derivatives by Reaction of 2-Aryl-1-(vinylsulfonyl)pyrrolidines with Optically Pure Amines

Abstract: A method was proposed for the synthesis hybrid molecules combining fragments of pyrrolidine, taurine, amino acids or 1-phenylethan-1-amine. The method is based on the reaction of 2-aryl-1-(vinylsulfonyl)pyrrolidines with amino acids or their esters by boiling in acetonitrile in the presence of triethylamine for 2 days. The structure of the obtained compounds was proven by 1H, 13C NMR and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis methods.
