The relevance of this research stems from the need to explore the evolution of hybrid software development methods and their impact on information systems auditing tasks. Modern technology firms face constant pressure to deliver software quickly, resulting in innovative development models. The purpose of this research is to explore the applicability of hybrid software development methods and to identify the main challenges associated with information systems auditing. To achieve this objective, the following methods were used: analysis, comparison and other methods, necessary to understand the application of different methodol-ogies in real projects, exploring software development standards and guidelines, and exploring the applicability of hybrid approaches and their impact on information systems auditing. The research conducted a systematic review of various studies and practical applications of hybrid software development methods in the context of information systems auditing. The main results of the research are the identification of the main advantages and limitations of hybrid software development methods, the identification of the most effective combinations of methods for information systems auditing tasks, and the identification of factors influenc-ing the successful implementation of hybrid approaches in organisations. The practical significance of this research lies in providing a new perspective on the evolution of software development, considering hybrid methods as a promising area of development. The findings can be useful for software developers, information systems auditors and organisation managers, helping them to make informed decisions regarding the choice of software development methodology and assessing its compliance with information systems auditing requirements.
