The article presents the results of archaeological research of the medieval settlement of Sarayshyk in 2022, obtained at excavation site No. 3. The work previously carried out here consisted of two stages. The first was completed in 2019; in the upper construction horizon (15th-16th centuries), underground family burials were discovered - crypts and dozens of single burial pits, fragments of residential and utility rooms. At the second stage, in 2021, with further deepening, the central part of the structure was explored with rooms located along long corridors oriented in the north-south direction and dating back to the Golden Horde period. In terms of structure, this structure is close to medieval establishments of the khan type - inns where honored guests, travelers, merchants and pilgrims could stay. 30 m from this site is a complex palace building consisting of more than 40 rooms, discovered under the direction of Z. Samashev in 1996-2008. This section of the settlement probably consists of buildings intended for overnight stays for caravanners, travelers, and pilgrims.
