The article is concerned with hydration and hardening processes of a binder based on caustic magnesite. The purpose of the research is to produce magnesia binder containing sulphate components. Possibility of sulphate component presence in the grouting fluid and in the composition of magnesia binder has been proved. Composition of combined grouting fluid with magnesium chloride and sulphate has been proposed, providing accelerated setting and waterproofing of the binder. Hybrid binder based on caustic magnesite and construction gypsum, characterized by high strength and waterproofing, has been developed. The composition of main magnesia binders’ hydrates, shut with saline solutions of different densities has been determined. Waterproofing of sulfomagnesial binders has been justified due to hydrates composition and stone’s structure. The research is focused on creating durable low-power construction composite materials.
