The study aims to assess recent changes in water consumption, stress, and supply in Northern and Central Kazakhstan amidst significant climate and socio-economic shifts. The study used methods of analysing long-term changes in annual and seasonal runoff, statistical analysis, and assessment of the anthropogenic impact on water resources. The article presents new data on the assessment of the multi-year dynamics of water resources formed in the basins of the Yesil, Tobyl – Torgai and Nura – Sarysu rivers and the multi-year dynamics of water used.
