Abstract: The dynamics of rock glaciers and their water runoff in the Ulken Almaty (Bolshaya Almatinka) River basin was studied. The surface of the Morenny rock glacier moves faster than the Gorodetsky one due to its increased ice content. Rock glaciers have a significant effect on the water regime, temperature, and chemical composition of the streams formed by their outflows.
