2025#2025Issue 55 - 12 pp.

This review presents data on the prevalence, diagnostic features, and pathogenesis mechanisms of decreased bone mineral density in patients with various spondyloarthritis-family diseases. It shows the conflicting nature of data on changes in the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of bone tissue in these patients, the role of cytokines, disease activity and inflammatory mediators. An analysis of the key genes associated with both the development of spondyloarthritis-type diseases and associated bone pathology has been performed. Key research and discussion points on this topic have been formulated as well as the importance of a personalised approach to diagnosis and treatment. This review was compiled through analysis of 59 articles by Russian and international authors from PubMed, eLibrary, and Medline Complete, primarily published within the past five years.
