We report two new species of Novichneumoninae from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber: Rasnichneumon klopfsteinae sp. nov. and Rasnichneumon gibbosus sp. nov. These new species increase the diversity of novichneumonine wasps documented from Kachin amber during the mid-Cretaceous. We emend the diagnosis of the genus Rasnichneumon to accommodate the morphology of the new species. Finally, we discuss the unique state of color preservation in the new specimens, uncommon morphological features of Rasnichneumon, shape of the ovipositor of novichneumonines and its implications.
