The study aims to identify methods and techniques for adapting Chinese onomastic names to the Kazakh language and different writing systems. The study used a range of methods, including lexical, semantic, linguistic and comparative methods to study the meanings and correspondence of Chinese onomastic names to Kazakh terms. The results of the study revealed the main difficulties and mistakes in writing Chinese onomastic names in the Kazakh-Cyrillic and Kazakh-Latin scripts. Thus, the results of the study represent an important contribution to the field of translation and intercultural communication, contributing to a better interaction between the Kazakh and Chinese languages.
