An analytical review of the problems and advantages of using low-basicity cements is given. In particular, the issues of reducing energy and raw material specific costs in the production of low-basicity cements, replacing mineral raw materials with man-made raw materials in the production cycle, as well as environmental protection in the production of low-basicity cements by reducing carbon and nitrogen oxide emission while saving energy costs are considered. Conclusions are drawn according to an analytical review of results.
