The article examines the archaeological collection of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, obtained during excavations of the medieval settlement of Saraychik under the leadership of A. Margulan in 1950. A brief overview of the historiography of the study of archaeological artifacts is presented, emphasizing A. Margulan’s significant contribution to the formation of the collection. The main focus is on finds such as glazed and unglazed ceramics, including bowls, plates, khums, and other items. The Introduction highlights the importance of Kazakhstan archaeology for understanding the region’s cultural heritage, as well as its role as a trade and political center of the Golden Horde. The research methodology is based on the analysis of inventory descriptions and documentation, employing various scientific methods to gain deeper insights into the technological, stylistic, and functional aspects of the archaeological finds. The examined collection from the Saraychik city-site is one of the components of the material culture of the Golden Horde (12th–14th centuries). It was produced in urban centers of Khorezm and the capitals of the lower Volga city-sites of the Golden Horde.
