This research proposes a new method for monitoring the condition of concrete structures using fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) sensors. These sensors, specifically designed to minimize damage during concrete placement, provide the ability to monitor concrete deformation in real-time, which is a key factor for concrete strengthening and structural safety. Laboratory tests have demonstrated the high accuracy and reliability of Bragg grating sensors in measuring static and dynamic loads, temperature deformations, and the detection and development of micro-cracks. The use of Bragg gratings allows for modeling the technical characteristics of concrete, predicting its strength, and increasing the safety of construction projects. The results obtained confirm the effectiveness of Bragg gratings in monitoring the condition of structures, which makes them an important tool in modern construction and engineering. This method helps to reduce construction-related risks such as crack initiation and subsequent structural failure, thus improving condition monitoring of buildings, bridges, and other concrete structures.
