The redescription of Carabus (Cratophyrtus) nikolajevi Kabak, 1998, which had been described on one specimen, is given on the base of newly collected material. The variation of the morphologic characters is assessed. The new data on distribution and habitats of this species are given. Additionally, C. (Pantophyrtus) turcomanorum turcomanorum Thieme, 1881 is recorded from Kazakhstan for the first time.
