Micronutrients play a key role in the health of mother and child, especially during pregnancy and lactation. The article talks about combining multiple micronutrients into one supplement has been proposed as a cost-effective way to achieve multiple benefits for women during pregnancy. The article also discusses in detail the components in the complex that combine well with each other, are contained in sufficient and safe quantities and comply with European recommendations for pregnant and lactating women. Micronutrient deficiencies are known to interact, and greater benefits can be achieved by taking multiple supplements rather than taking a single nutrient. However, the interaction may also result in poor absorption of some nutrients. High doses of some nutrients can also harm the mother or her baby. Taking iron and other micronutrients, such as folic acid, vitamin D, omega 3, iodine, significantly reduces the incidence of anemia in mothers and the incidence of infectious and inflammatory complications of pregnancy, and also reduces the likelihood of low birth weight and microsomia at birth.
