Introduction. Kazakhstan occupies one of the leading places in the world in terms of the quantity and diversity of mineral resources. The article presents the results of the survey of off-balance ores and tailings of enrichment, as well as ores classified as losses of the Karagaylinsky, Dzhezdinsky, Dzhezkazgansky, Tekelisky, Khromtausky and Indersky deposits located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to identify priority areas for leaching. General information, brief geological characteristics of deposits, results of dump surveys, physical and chemical properties and material compositions of ores and beneficiation tailings are provided. Methods. The main research methods included analysis of geological characteristics of deposits, results of dump surveys, study of physical and chemical properties, material composition of ores and enrichment tailings. The research methods are aimed at identifying suitable and profitable ore deposits, dumps and enrichment tailings for obtaining metals by underground, heap and tank leaching methods. Results. Up to 70–90% of copper can be extracted from the ore of the Dzhezkazgan deposit using hydrochloric acid solutions with a concentration of 40–50 g/l. Of interest for the Karagaylinskoye deposit are heap leaching of off-balance oxidized ores and tank leaching of enrichment tailings. Heap leaching of manganese from the large-lump ore of the Dzhezdinskoye deposit is impractical. Tank leaching of enrichment tailings of the Zhezdinskaya plant with a sulfuric acid solution with a concentration of 60 g/l at a temperature of 80°C for three hours allows for the extraction of up to 95% of manganese. Research on the leaching of chromite ores is of an exploratory nature. Conclusions. The suitability of mining waste for obtaining dry building materials that meet the requirements of national and international standards has been established. The physical and mechanical properties of dry building mixtures using enrichment waste from the Zhezkazgan and Kentau enrichment plants have been determined. The indicators correspond to the technical requirements of ST RK 1168-2006.
