Photonics-Based Optimized Multi-Chirp Waveform Design Under the Presence of Interference Using PSO Algorithm

We propose and demonstrate interference-resistant optimized chirp rates multi-chirp linear frequency modulated waveform (OC-MLFM) design method for photonics-based radar using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Comparing it with other multi-chirp waveforms, OC-MLFM enhanced the SNR to >24 dB under various interferences, validating effectiveness of the proposed method.
