Trends of Studies Related to Individualized Education Program: Content Analysis

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the tendencies of the theses and articles about IEP. For this purpose, 64 studies published in Turkey between the years 2000-2021; Their distribution according to type, years, research methods as well as patterns, sampling type, sample groups and size studied, data collection tools, data analysis methods, objectives, results and suggestions were examined. The data obtained in the study were analyzed with both descriptive analysis and content analysis. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the studies were mostly articles and the most studies were done in 2019. As a research method, the qualitative method were mostly preferred and the mixed method were least preferred; as the sample group, classroom teachers were mostly preferred; small groups were mostly used in the selection of sample size; it was found that the interview form was used the most in data collection; it was determined that content analysis was in many instances used in data analysis. The studies are essentially aimed to identify the difficulties encountered in the IEP and the views on the preparation of the IEP; the results are mostly related to the lack of information; recommendations are mostly for providing trainings related to IEP
