This study explores the interplay between proactive decision-making, learning agility, and career future time perspective, contributing insights into future-oriented career behaviours. Through an examination of proactive decision-making dimensions–taking initiative, striving for improvement, systematic identification of objectives, systematic identification of alternatives, systematic search for information, and decision radar–this research establishes significant associations with the facets of learning agility (mastery orientation and adaptive orientation) and three components of career future time perspective (opportunity, value, and connectedness). Notably, learning agility demonstrates a strong positive relationship with career future time perspective, highlighting its influence in fostering career aspirations and adaptive professional development. These findings hold relevance for career coaches, counsellors, and organisational leaders by underscoring the importance of structured approaches that promote proactive decision-making, adaptability, and a future-oriented outlook in career planning. This research offers practical strategies for enhancing talent development through adaptive learning practices, resilience, and psychological connectedness to ones career future.
