The Role of Material Culture in Enhancing Creativity and Aesthetic Development Among Kazakh Students

This study examines the role of material culture in the educational and personal development of students engaged in the arts, focusing on Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. The study aims to understand how material culture enriches the learning environment and fosters student creativity. The methodology employs an interdisciplinary approach, integrating cultural studies, aesthetics, historical analysis, and axiological perspectives and relies on communication, interviews, and observation to gather data. The study involved 1,087 participants aged 4 to 15, whose differences in engagement and interest in material culture were examined. Results showed that students displayed a strong interest in their cultural heritage, regardless of gender, and that material culture significantly enhanced their aesthetic taste, motivation for self-expression, and knowledge in arts. Male participants showed heightened engagement during practical classes, particularly in tasks related to Kazakhstan’s material culture. The findings underscore the importance of integrating cultural traditions into education to cultivate creativity and cultural awareness. The study concludes that the use of material culture in education can inspire students to respect folk traditions and deepen their creative potential.
