Import substitution is today considered as a main area for the development and expansion of the Russian economy in the near future. In the prevailing era, Russia adheres to a protectionist policy, the emphasis of which is placed mainly on import replacement. The main cause of that strategy to the growth and development and growth of the countrys economy are observed the sanctions inflicted by USA and other Western nations against Russian federation. By the Decree of Russia On the Application of Certain Special Economic Means to guarantee the Security of the Russian Federation in 2014, the import of particular types of raw materials, agricultural goods, and food into the Russian Federation’s territory was prohibited, and government purchases of light industry goods and specific kinds of mechanical engineering tools from exotic providers. The countries of the EU, USA, Norway Canada, Australia were under the embargo. Therefore, the issue of executing the import substitution policy is of great importance for economic growth at the regional and federal levels.
