Abstract: The results of laboratory testing on the selection of reactants for clarification of gas scrubbing system water for ferroalloy production are presented. It is shown that the use of a reactant treatment program, including a combination of liquid composite coagulant AS-C2001 and anionic powdered flocculant AS—FL7003, makes it possible to successfully remove suspended solids, turbidity and color from gas scrubbing system water. The recommended reactant treatment program is proposed for industrial testing at the gas scrubbing system water treatment area of reduction furnaces at one of the ferroalloy plants in Kazakhstan.
