Khodja Ahmad Yasavî is one of the most distinguished and famous Sufis raised by the Turkish World. His teachings left an impact on people even after his death and his tomb was transformed into a complex and offered to the service of people. The complex served Muslims not only spiritually but also materially, a 2-tonne cauldron was placed in the complex and sherbet and food was distributed to people for centuries; in addition to this, each of the units such as masjid, library and madrasah were offered to the benefit of people separately. In addition, Kazakh Khans managed some of their state affairs from this complex. The complex where the Khodja buried attracted people’s attention from an early time and brought up the fact that they wanted to be buried here after their death. The desire to be buried here must be a matter of prestige, as well as a matter of benefiting from the spirituality of the Khodja and hoping that those who come to the tomb of the Khodja will pray for themselves. The books and articles about who are the people buried here and the websites prepared about the complex have been used, as well as the field visit to the complex and on-site investigations have contributed to the preparation of the article.
