New single-layer and double-layer coatings of UONI-13/55 welding electrodes for welding low-carbon and low-al-loy steels have been proposed. The coatings were applied with superfine ultradispersed opal-quartz-carbonate bentonite clay of the Taganskoye deposit of the East Kazakhstan region. Studies have confirmed that the use of new coatings can improve the welding and technological properties of electrodes and increase the strength and ductile characteristics, as well as the cold resistance of the deposited metal.
