Concerning shaped parts milling using high speed machining

The article presents the condition of shaped parts milling. Features of cutting in a high-speed machining (HSM) mode are considered in order to ensure quality and productivity in milling. Temperature dependence on cutting speed for high-speed machining is considered. Reasons of vibrations occurrence when HSM is applied are studied. Various methods of reducing vibration velocity and vibration acceleration of milling system are presented. Cutting process in a closed self-oscillating system is considered. The diagram of the stability zones is considered to select the optimal machining parameters.
