This study focuses on the sociolinguistic characteristics of advertisements displayed in public spaces in the city of Algiers, the capital of Algeria. It examines the weight of languages and the strategies used to put into discourse the sociolinguistic richness of idioms. The study also examines the situation of the Tamazight language in Algeria after its officialization as well as the methods of integration of this language through advertisements. This involves the analysis of sociolinguistic reconfigurations in a changing multilingual context. The results of the field survey indicate that the Algerian advertising landscape is characterized by the presence of the standard Arabic language, the French language in public and private institutions, the English language as well as the Tamazight language with its varieties.
