Perovskite photodetectors (PPDs) may have an exciting commercial impact owing to their excellent device performance and affordability. However, to enhance their competitiveness in the industry, a few technological aspects of PPDs, such as scalability, robustness, weight, and semitransparency, still require further improvement. This work focuses on the scalable fabrication of PPDs on plastic substrates using slot-die coating techniques employing dielectric-metal-dielectric (DMD) transparent top contacts. The DMD provides the devices with a bifaciality feature. The device’s functional layers are deposited using the slot-die coating technique, whereas the top DMD contacts are deposited using thermal evaporation. The fabricated devices demonstrate remarkable performance and a high bifaciality factor in the visible spectrum. For bottom-side illumination, the responsivity and detectivity of devices have excellent values reaching 0.2 A W-1 and 2 × 1011 Jones, respectively. As for top-side illumination, they are as high as 0.15 A W-1 and 1.47 × 1011 Jones, respectively. The overall bifaciality factor in devices for the visible spectrum is around 65% and can reach values of up to 78% in the 610-650 nm range. Furthermore, the fabricated devices without any encapsulation in air maintain around 28% of their initial performance after 50 bendings.
